Historian, researcher and writer, Dr Amadou Ba will share his research on Black history in Canada and North America and answer the question: Should we continue to exclude Black history in Canada from Canadian school and university programs? BIPOC students at the University of Guelph, University of British Columbia, and University of Waterloo are invited to a free, online, digital storytelling workshop. As a participant in the workshop, you will explore your ideas about, and experiences with, food and food (in)security by creating your own engaging 2-4 minute digital story. Expert facilitators will guide you step-by-step through the process. The deadline to apply to participate is January 31, 2022 (9 AM PST / 12 PM EST).

Aamjiwnaang is surrounded by Canada's Chemical Valley, a petrochemical chemical industry right in the backyards of Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
