Graduate Excellence Scholarship

In response to our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences (CSAHS) has established the Graduate Excellence Scholarship. These entrance scholarships will enhance accessibility for students and mark an important step toward achieving a more diverse and inclusive graduate student community.

Scholarships will be reserved for Canadian or permanent residents that self-identify as Black and/or Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis) and/or racialized.

Awards

Recipients will receive a one-time award. Award amounts may vary.


Eligibility

Canadian or permanent resident students entering a CSAHS graduate program.

Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and/or potential and leadership potential, either through past achievements, or through proposed research program and career aspirations. Applicants must include a statement of declaration.

Application Process

Eligible applicants are required to submit a complete application form and provide one letter of support (max. one page) from a reference that can speak to the applicant’s leadership potential, experience, and qualities. Applicants must include a statement of declaration self-identifying as part of a racialized community and/or the Black and/or Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis) community.

Complete applications and letters of support are to be submitted to the applicant's home department.
