How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your life?

Thankfully, the COVID-19 crisis has not affected my living situation, however I have lost my job. Like many students I was working a restaurant job and we had to close down. It has also caused some job insecurity in terms of my plans for the summer.

Check-in with International Development Student Megan Culyer

Megan Culyer is a third year student in the International Development program.

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your life?

COVID-19 had effected a lot of things in my life, as it has for everybody. For starters, I am doing classes online and working from home. Because of social distancing, I rarely leave my house unless the reason is essential.

This is different from my usual lifestyle, as I typically enjoy spending my days on campus. I am coping by keeping a schedule for myself and sticking to it!

Check-in with Anthropology Graduate Student Brittany Schaefer

Brittany Schaefer is a masters student in the Public Issues anthropology program.

How has your life changed since isolation began?

Like many of us, I feel like my life has been turned upside down. Before, I was running around on campus all day - going to class, attending meetings, volunteering with the Sustainability Office. Now, I rarely leave home, but thankfully my housing situation is safe and secure.
