Visions for A Just, Food Future on Campus: BIPOC Students’ Stories of Food

BIPOC students at the University of Guelph, University of British Columbia, and University of Waterloo are invited to a free, online, digital storytelling workshop. As a participant in the workshop, you will explore your ideas about, and experiences with, food and food (in)security by creating your own engaging 2-4 minute digital story. Expert facilitators will guide you step-by-step through the process. The deadline to apply to participate is January 31, 2022 (9 AM PST / 12 PM EST).

Environmental Racism: A Perspective from a Polluted Two Spirit First Nation

Join us on October 13 from 1:00-2:20 pm online to learn about the experience of environmental racism through the eyes of Beze Gray, a two-spirit youth from Aamjiwnaang First Nation. Aamjiwnaang is surrounded by Canada's Chemical Valley, a petrochemical chemical industry right in the backyards of Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
