Homelessness in rural and northern communities is less visable and described as "hidden" due to supports and services that aren't accessed.  O'Grady's study also identifies the types of issues that people with homelessness exerpeince such as addictions, discrimination, living expenses, institutionalization, unemployment and loss of social networks.

The full report Study finds homelessness widespread in rural and northern Ontario was published by the Rural Ontario Institute.
