Scholars at Risk (SAR) is a global network that advocates for academic freedom worldwide and connects vulnerable scholars with universities seeking to host them. Dr. Evren Altinkas is the first visiting professor who has joined the University of Guelph through the SAR network.

In this lecture, he will provide comparative historical insights about academics in Europe, North America, and the Middle East to address the issue of academic freedom.
