Pillow Talk is Big Talk: Gender and the Intimate Spaces of Prevention and Sexual Pleasure in Cape Town, South Africa
On Wednesday, May 24th, Dr. Laura Pascoe will be giving a guest lecture entitled “Pillow Talk is Big Talk: Gender and the Intimate Spaces of Prevention and Sexual Pleasure in Cape Town, South Africa”. The talk will take place from 10:30-12:00 at the Centre for Families, Work, and Wellbeing (17 University Ave East). All faculty and graduate students are encouraged to attend! Dr. Pascoe is a feminist, activist, practitioner, and scholar who received her PhD in Geography from the University of California at Davis. Her work focuses on gender justice and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Currently, she works as a consultant for universities and NGOs, including UNAIDS and WHO, and is also a labour and childbirth doula.
