Back by popular demand, U of G is organizing a trip to Ottawa to provide undergrad and grad students a unique opportunity to visit Health Canada! An information session will be held on Tuesday, October 16th from 6:30pm-7:30pm in Rozanski 102.

During this trip, you’ll be able to:

  • Hear from guest speakers, who are also U of G alumni, about working at Health Canada and other federal agencies (including Public Health Agency of Canada, CFIA, National Research Council, Environment and Climate Change Canada and others)

  • Attend a career fair to learn about student recruitment and how to apply for government jobs, including post-doc fellowship programs

  • Mingle with Health Canada employees, U of G alumni and fellow students at an evening networking event

Registration Details:

  • Deadline to register is Friday, October 19th

  • Complimentary transportation to and from Ottawa will be provided; each student is responsible for arranging for their own accommodations/food throughout the trip. Hotel blocks have been reserved for students at the Alt Hotel in Ottawa under the “University of Guelph”

  • To confirm your spot, drop off your completed registration form with your $20 fee to the CBS Student Council Office (SCIE 1502). There are limited spots reserved for CBS undergrad and grad students, so register early to avoid disappointment.

  • An Info Session will be held prior to the trip to review the itinerary and answer questions

  • For information about this opportunity, details about hotel blocks, etc., please email Alyssa Peonidis [3], CSAHS Student Council VP, Internal Affairs.
