Special Guest Lecture: Behind the Scenes of U.S. Environmental Policy-Making
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the inner workings of the U.S. environmental policy process! We are excited to welcome Dr. Michal Freedhoff, former Assistant Administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) and past Biden administration appointee, for an engaging guest lecture.
Dr. Freedhoff will share her experiences in federal government, public administration, and the development of environmental policy in the United States. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her time as minority director of oversight for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, where she led key congressional negotiations with the State of California on vehicle fuel economy and greenhouse gas standards—achieving significant compromise—as well as her work on bipartisan legislation tackling PFAS chemical contamination.
If you’re interested in government, policy-making, or environmental issues, this event is for you. Join us to learn from a leading expert who has helped shape critical environmental initiatives in the United States.
This event is open to all students and faculty - no registration required.
