Jamie Nelson, exoneree - Jamie Nelson was wrongfully convicted in the 1990s during a bitter child custody dispute with his ex-girlfriend. After a seven-day trial, he was convicted based on entirely false evidence presented by his ex-girlfriend’s friend. He was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison, during which time he maintained his innocence, was denied parole, and spent an extended period in solitary confinement.
