T’áncháy Redvers [they/them] is a Dene & Métis two-spirit advocate, writer, creator, facilitator, and multidisciplinary performer belonging to Deninu K’ue First Nation in Treaty 8 territory. At the age of 21, T’áncháy and their brother, Kelvin, founded We Matter - a national Indigenous-led campaign and non-profit dedicated to Indigenous youth hope and life promotion. T’áncháy is a published poet and children’s book author, has story edited and written for shows airing on Netflix, Crave, Apple TV+ and PBS Kids, and has performances and credits spanning Pride Toronto, CBC Gem, Paramount+ and more. They are also a member of BIPOC TV & Film’s Board of Directors/ Visioning Committee, an organization working to uproot barriers for Black, Indigenous and People of Colour across Canada's screen media industry. T’áncháy’s approach is one that aims to re-create mainstream narratives of Indigenous and queer communities from a place of authenticity, joy, community, love and healing.

Simone Dalton is a Trinidad-born, North America-based author, teaching artist, and writing coach. After 12 years as a public relations professional, Simone now writes solely for her love of language. Simone has worked with writers, ages 14 to 80+, in Canada and the United States, and most recently served as an Adjunct Professor at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is one of the inaugural Black Teaching Fellows of the Boston creative arts centre GrubStreet. In 2022, she launched her company, Island Scribe, and will begin hosting Caribbean-based writing retreats for women writers of colour worldwide in 2023. She holds an MFA from the University of Guelph.

Dr. Simone Holligan obtained a PhD in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph in 2017 and has worked as a sessional lecturer here on campus. She was an NSERC Visiting Fellow with the Public Health Agency of Canada (2017-18), and a Research Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (2020-21). She is currently principal consultant of emendWELL Inc. and enjoys engaging in abstract painting, supporting her partner in his business ventures, and executing comedic voiceovers for her niece and nephew.
