Program evaluation work is a great career option for people with an interest in the links between research and social action. How is the University of Guelph preparing students for this kind of career? Could we do a better job? What are the implications for teaching practical real world skills in graduate programs more broadly? Join us on Monday, May 15th from 12:00-1:30pm in UC441 as we explore these questions and more.

This event is co-hosted by the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute [5] and Evaluation Café Guelph [6]. It will be moderated by Andrew Taylor, CESI Engaged Practitioner in Residence  [7]and co-owner of Taylor Newberry Consulting [8].  Panelists will include:

  • Harry Cummings, President of the Canadian Evaluation Society & Professor in the Rural Planning and Development Department at the University of Guelph
  • Andrew Papadopoulos, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Master of Public Health Program, University of Guelph
  • Don Murray from Evaluation Cafe Guelph, a local network of evaluation practitioners
  • Lindsey Thomson, Manager, Community Engaged Learning, The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute
