Academic Integrity

Academic Misconduct

Academic integrity is more than just avoiding plagiarism. Academic misconduct can involve any of the following: misappropriation of another person's work, misrepresentation of personal performance and fraud, improper access to scholarly resources, or obstructing others in pursuit of their academic endeavours.

Academic misconduct is taken very seriously by the University of Guelph. Students, faculty and staff who are found guilty of academic misconduct will be penalized.

Reporting Academic Misconduct

The Academic Misconduct Report Form is to be used by all chairs, faculty, sessionals and instructors in cases of academic misconduct.
